Frequently Asked Questions
What are your fees?
All therapy sessions at TPS Therapy are 50 minutes in length and can be held in person at our East Toronto office or online across Ontario, depending on what works best for you.
Fees vary by therapist and service type, and are aligned with the guidelines set by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
To view specific rates, you can visit our Book an Appointment page—each clinician’s fees are listed alongside their services. We also offer free 20-minute consultations by phone or video so you can ask questions and get to know your therapist before starting. If you’re a college or university student, ask us about our reduced-rate sessions for post-secondary students.
We encourage you to check with your insurance provider to see if you’re covered for services by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (MSW). We’re happy to match you with the appropriate therapist based on your coverage.
Is therapy or counselling covered by insurance?
Therapy/counselling is covered by most insurance plans. If your insurance plan includes Registered Psychotherapists and/or Registered Social Workers, then you’ll have coverage for our services. We recommend that you check with your individual insurance provider to determine your coverage. We now provide direct billing for government and community mental health agencies.
