Fiana is a registered social worker who received her Master’s of social work from the University of Toronto and her psychology BA from the University of Western Ontario.
My Story
Fiana supports individuals and couples like yourself achieve emotional transformation and personal growth within a safe therapeutic space. Through a collaborative effort, Fiana helps youth, adults and couples to navigate life’s
roadblocks by developing self-compassion and inner awareness.
Fiana recognizes that each client is the author of their own life and strives to provide a space for you to be actively engaged in your therapeutic journey. She commends you for taking that courageous first step of reaching out!
Fiana's expertise lies in several areas, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, career stress, grief, major life transitions, and post- immigration challenges. Each of these areas holds a special place in her heart, and she is fully committed to using an anti-oppressive and anti-racism practice to support you. She draws from a range of treatment approaches tailored to your specific needs. These include mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, emotion-focused therapy, experiential therapy, and can utilize a variety of CBT and DBT techniques.
Fiana addresses unhelpful attachment patterns in therapy to help promote adaptive growth and mutually satisfying relationships. When she is not in the therapy room, you can find her practicing yoga or enjoying the delightful company of her pets. Fiana finds solace and inspiration in the outdoors, especially when she's canoeing along the
Madawaska river.
