Kayla is a down-to-earth and relatable therapist who makes her clients feel comfortable and welcome in her judgement-free zone. She understands the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance and places emphasis on creating a safe, open, and non-judgemental space for the clients that she works with.

Kayla works from a trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based lens. Her approach is integrative to help meet each person's unique needs and she draws from a number of approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She will often incorporate mindfulness exercises and art therapy into sessions as well.
